Il Centro is a multi-level 44,000 square foot facility outfitted with modern, state-of-the-art facilities with an emphasis is on providing a broad array of programs in education, fitness, and league sports (basketball and soccer). Goodbye My Love
A Tribute to the Courageous Italian Immigrants
Dressed in clothing that their great-grandparents would have worn a century ago. With them they carry the iconic cardboard suitcase of yesterday’s Italian immigrant as they proudly display the vintage versions of the tools of their trade – an architect’s ruler, a photographer’s camera, a musician’s gramophone.
The background of the photos display a modern and hectic New York City that includes skyscrapers, bright lights, streets, bridges and traffic but in the foreground the characters emerge from a very distant era.
